Luke Day
It all started back in 1995 at the puny age of 7 when my parents decided to try piano lessons on me. Even to the point of splashing out £50 for a second hand Piano Forte. I very quickly got the jist of things on a practical level and so believing I'd now learnt to play I quit the lessons. I decided to forget about all the dots and their meanings, and carried on playing by ear. Although to this day I still insist: "I'm no pianist". I later began playing the electric guitar in high school aged 12 and by the age of 16 I was a noisy young guitarist... along the way I had also, by some cosmic accident, worked out how to play drums and bass too. Then in Spring/Summer of the following year aged 17 I began strumming and singing. And thats where my life changed. 21 years old, I now sing and play Acoustic Guitar professionally and I'm quite happy doin just that. I play traditional jigs and reels on Fiddle, Mandolin and Guitar and its really all about just gettin up there and playin Live Music to a bunch a people and havin a DARN good time! I love acoustic music and will swear by it till the ends of the earth! This is all "2step" foot stomping stuff, its fast, its catchy and it makes for great times drinkin'! Enjoy!
People have played the Fiddle for years and not managed what Luke learnt in his first six weeks.
...a hard act to follow!
Luke - You were fab. Cheers!!
