Dave Roberts
Dai is a singer-songwriter originating from coastal Mid Wales. He fuses his love for soul, blues and laid back grooves to create simple yet beautiful songs. Brought up on classic Motown and Country by his DJ father, and a mother who 'never stopped singing around the house', Dai has an eclectic love of music for which he thanks his parents.
Having first started writing songs on an old acoustic guitar with a hole in it which he could barely play at the age of 15, Dai played in several rock bands in his teenage years before deciding to follow his love of a more 'chilled out' type of music. Dai has spent the last couple of years playing at festivals and venues around the U.K. with what he describes as 'some of the most fantastic musicians and people you could wish to meet' and with an ever growing fanbase has high hopes of bigger things in 2010.
He is engaging and the honesty in his songwriting is endearing and easy to relate to. His live shows are intimate and warm and always full of suprises, with a cute collection of well crafted original songs and always a curve ball cover thrown in for good measure.
Dai is currently in the studio and his first solo E.P. is set to be released in early 2010 following several promotional Demos.
